In Thomas' guide one of the workflows described indicates that the RAW files are copied onto the hard disk straight from the camera and subsequently processed by Iridient BEFORE being imported into Lightroom. My question is whether reversing the process and letting Lightroom import the images into its catalog first before processing in Iridient bakes any alteration to the file.
Does Lightroom alter any aspect of a RAW file when imported into Lightroom? At this stage Lightroom has added the file to its catalog and produced a thumbnail of it, but the file has not been opened for viewing either in the Library module or the Develop module.
So subsequently, when the file is then selected for processing in Iridient X-Transformer is the RAW file still in its pristine and unaltered state as when it left the camera?
