My guides are offered for relatively low price, and so I can't do upgrades for free indefinitely, but my aim is to provide some updates for free for some updates.
So, with that in mind, the upgrade policy I have for my guides is as follows....
If there are new features or minor changes to software that change the advice in the guides there will be a free update. I have already updated both my Lightroom Guide and the Capture One guide.
If there is a major new version with significant changes, there will be a new edition, like most computer related books. So, for example, if a new version of Lightroom comes out that isn't a point release, ie. Lightroom 7, I will probably do a new edition which will be a new book.
For the X-Transformer guide, all of the beta updates will be covered, and all of the 1.x release.
The only exception to this is my Capture One guide. I have already updated that a few times now for major versions, and it's getting a bit messy now trying to keep up. I am working on a completely new guide which will be a different book, but I may doing one final update with some settings for 10.1.
The new book will be a different book altogether with a different title, and a different structure.
